‘We Rise As One’ Celebrates Peace and Unity at Grace Cathedral

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As global divisions deepen and spiritual exhaustion grows, a powerful new event invites people from all walks of life to remember what unites us. “We Rise as One” is a day-long gathering designed to transform grief into gratitude, and culminating in a celebration of our unity in community! Join us in a transformative experience through music, wisdom, and inspiration.
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Grace Cathedral will become a sanctuary for healing and inspiration. The evening centerpiece is the Unity in Community Peace Concert (8:00 to 10:00 pm PT), musically directed by Emmy-winning composer Gary Malkin. This multicultural celebration will feature singer/songwriters The Brothers Koren, Bob Sima, Amikaeyla Gaston, and others to be announced. Global wisdom keepers appearing include Bishop William Swing, Shakti Durga, Piper Dellums, Hope Fitzgerald, and Lisa Rafel. The concert will be broadcast live worldwide via Hubcast Media.
Earlier in the day, participants are invited to join Graceful Passages: Rising Together from Grief to Gratitude (9:30 am to 4:30 pm PT), a transformative workshop (limited to up to 70 participants) led by Hope Fitzgerald and Gary Malkin. This immersive experience blends music, ceremony, meditation, and storytelling to offer space for deep healing and renewal.
A Networking Gathering (6:00 to 7:30 pm PT) offers an opportunity for peace builders, nonprofit leaders, creatives, and change makers to connect, collaborate, and build momentum for unity-focused work.

In a time marked by rising polarization, deepening spiritual fatigue, and escalating global conflict, “We Rise as One” is more than an event. It is a living response to the question: What can we do together that we cannot do alone?
Co-produced by Pathways To Peace (co-founders of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace) and the Global Wisdom Foundation, in partnership with Grace Cathedral, and with generous support from the Spiritual Life Television Network and The Holomovement, this gathering is a global invocation of unity.
