Dover, Delaware – August 13, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Seatylock, the design-led mobility security brand founded in 2008, is drawing attention to the post-purchase support programs that accompany its certified bike locks, including a key registration process and an extended warranty offering. The initiative reflects the brand’s view that bike security continues well beyond the point of purchase and into the daily ownership experience.
Under the standard terms, every Seatylock product carries a 12-month warranty covering material, manufacturing, or workmanship defects, along with malfunctions not caused by force, misuse, or abuse. Riders who complete Seatylock Key Registration within three months of purchase can extend that coverage at no cost. By submitting their key duplication code numbers, customers qualify for Seatylock’s 3-Year Warranty, tripling the standard coverage period.

The registration program also connects riders to support should they require replacement keys or long-term product assistance. Seatylock designs, produces, and assembles its products in-house, including cylinders and keys, which allows the company to maintain oversight of key duplication and warranty fulfillment across its product lines.
“Security does not end at checkout,” said Michael Shenkerman from Seatylock. “A rider needs confidence that support will be there months and years after the purchase. Key registration and the extended warranty are how the brand stands behind the products long after a customer first locks up a bike.”
Seatylock produces a range of mobility security products, including Foldylock folding locks, Mason U-locks, Viking chain locks, the Seatylock hybrid seat-lock, SeatyGo detachable seats, and X Lock accessory protection. The company holds independent certifications from institutes such as Sold Secure, ART, FUB, Varefakta, SRA, and Velosure, and aligns its internal Seatylock Scale with Sold Secure ratings to help riders match protection to their needs without unnecessary weight or bulk.
Shenkerman noted that the ownership programs fit within the company’s broader approach to product design and usability. “The goal is a complete ownership experience,” he said. “Certified strength matters, but so does knowing that keys can be replaced and coverage can be extended. That combination is what gives riders the confidence to park in public every day.”
The Seatylock Key Registration and warranty programs apply to products purchased directly through Seatylock and its official retail channels. Customers who purchased through other retailers are directed to their original place of purchase for warranty matters, while direct purchasers can submit claims through the company’s standard support process.
Seatylock’s approach reflects a wider effort to treat the bike lock as an essential part of the cycling experience rather than an afterthought. The brand combines independent security certifications, patented in-house engineering, and rider-friendly design under the tagline “Protection Perfected by Design.” Its products have received recognition including IF Design, Red Dot, and European Product Design awards.
Founded in 2008, Seatylock designs and manufactures certified bike locks and mobility security products for urban cyclists, e-bike owners, and premium-bike riders. The company operates internationally, offering folding locks, U-locks, chain locks, seat-lock hybrids, detachable seats, and accessory protection systems built for daily use in cities.
